The CP Big-Dot Optic cut allows you to run any full sized RMR footprint optic (RMR, 507C, Etc) on a Glock “SlimLine” model 43,43X or 48. We created a plate system that mounts to the gun, then allows the full sized (RMR foot-print) optic to be mounted to the plate, while still keeping both low enough & remaining purchased in the slide and not raised above like others in the industry. This gives you all the same benefits of a direct mounted optic and no weak points like traditional plate systems while keeping it at the same height of our other optic cuts. This allows you the benefits of a full sized optic’s sight picture on your Slime-Line Glock (43,43X, 48) Models.  Our Big-Dot plate is made of 6061 aluminum and hard coat anodized giving strength with a very low weight addition.
 
For rear backup sight placement with Big Dot Optic Cut we can only do a forward dovetail (rear sight in front of optic) or no dovetail (no rear back up sight).  This is due to the size of the slide in conjunction with a full size optic. 
  
We recommend Black Nitriding of the slide or Cerakote if you prefer a color due to the amount of  material removed by the  machining process.
 
Black Nitride provides a deep black finish that is extremely hard and durable even more so than most factory black finishes but looks very similar as pictured.
